Elizabeth & Dave

Meeting Dave to design a custom engagement ring for his partner Elizabeth, was a great honor and experience. As with many men in the same position, he had put a lot of thought into creating a timeless unique piece, he was just needing a knowledgeable jeweller to help him with the finer points and logistics.

​I could tell instantly what this ring meant to him and that what he was after would result in a piece different from anything seen elsewhere. After looking at a number of design ideas we settled on using a double diamond halo with a step down in 18ct white gold.

At first we discussed using a ruby, as there were a number of nice specimens that I had access to. However we instantly knew upon sourcing a number of high quality Spinnels (which are rarer than Ruby and just as vibrant)  they would give the ring the uniqueness we were looking for.  


What he ended up with was a standout piece that can be dress up or down for any occasion and one which truly represents this amazing couple.

Other Stone: 106 x 0.005ct (1mm) Diamonds

The Ring was made in a double halo split shoulder design, with half round profiled band. 106 diamonds we hand set around around the halo and down the shoulders, with a large spinnel also secured into the centre four claw setting.
